Welcome to Clinical Cancer Research Unit

In 1995 the Norwegian Radium Hospital established a separate clinical cancer research unit in order to provide optimal facilities for experimental treatment, in particular phase I clinical trials. The unit performs both investigator-initiated and pharma-initiated trials.

The Clinical Cancer Research Unit has highly trained staff and is fully equipped with all the technology necessary for advanced phase I and phase II trials. The staff includes 4 oncologists, 6 research nurses,a secretary and a project coordinator. They all have broad experience in oncology and are specifically trained in clinical trial technology. The research nurses cooperate closely with other research nurses in Europe and in the US.

The main objective of the research unit is to perform high-quality and safe research which will benefit current and future cancer patients. All studies are carried out in accordance to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
