The group is involved with hematopathology research, both basic, applied and clinical research. We also deliver research services for clinical trials (molecular testing, flow cytometry and central pathology review).

Research projects
The group has had several research projects:
- Notch2 mutation analysis in marginal zone lymphoma
- SNP analysis in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma
- Marginal lymphoma antibody cloning for the detection of growth-stimulating antigens
- Genome-wide gene expression analysis of lymphoma and development of a diagnostic lymphoma chip (co-investigator of an NIH-sponsored project)
- Revision of primary testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
- Revision of all T-cell lymphomas and participation in the international T-cell lymphoma project (co-investigator of a University of Nebraska Medical Center sponsored project)
- Revision of all primary small B-cell lymphomas of the bone-marrow
- Pathology review for five clinical trials within the Nordic Lymphoma Group and the Nordic Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Group
