Welcome to Section for Long Term Studies
The section for Long Term Studies was established in December 2001 and is headed by senior Consultant Head of Research, Sophie Fosså.
The staff consists of 1 research nurse and 1 project secretary, and 2 psychiatrists.
The main objective of the section is:
- to perform follow-up examinations after patients are finished with their cancer treatment
- to give advice to groups of cancer patients who are expected to have an especially high risk of long term problems caused by their cancer disease
- to treat patients
The project cooperates with the oncologist in charge of the individual cancer treatment program and with national and international partners.
